Shrenik is the Founder and Creative Director of Dolsun Media. He has worked across cultures and continents as an academic, broadcaster and a filmmaker.
His film ‘Denied-This Bit of Truth’, a documentary about the political and economic situation in Zimbabwe has been featured on the BBC programme Outlook and was launched at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in the US and also at the London School of Economics in the UK. In his career as a documentary film maker, he has questioned several heads of states ranging from the Vice-Presidents of Zimbabwe - Ms.Joyce Mujuru and Mr.Joseph Msika to the Twenty First Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mir Zaffarullah Khan Jamali.Click here to view trailers
His primary academic interest is in Information Studies and its application to Global Politics, Development and the Environment. He taught 'Information and Politics', 'International Media Development', Information Communication and Society', 'Information Technology' and 'Communication Skills' to students, both at the Masters level as well as Undergraduate level at Napier University, Edinburgh, UK. He has also given guest lectures at the University of Westminster, London, UK and also at the University of Hyderabad, India.
He has had an academic career specializing in Political Communication from the London School of Economics, London, UK and also in Political Anthropology from the University Of Hyderabad, India, for which he was awarded the University Gold medal and University Merit scholarship for academic excellence.
Prior to founding Dolsun Media, Shrenik was the Vice-President (Programming) of one of India's regional television networks.
